Gouache + pencil on paper, 15x20 inches each

Commissioned paintings for Starbucks’s Permanent Art Collection of their first coffee shop location in the Pioneer Square neighborhood of Seattle, along with their Costa Rican coffee farm, Hacienda Alsacia.

Client: Third + Stewart Animal Wellness, 2021
Paint on canvas, 8 x 4 feet

I was asked to design and paint this canvas to hang in the vet clinic’s office to greet its furry visitors. I came up with this fun lively bunch of goofy animal friends in hopes to help calm those furry visitors and their parents while in the space.

Client: Facebook AIR Program, 2020
Create an image as a message to Seattle as the uncertainty of the pandemic was continuing which would then be wheat-pasted in the Pioneer Square neighborhood

I painted this in support of the Black and LGBTQ+ communities as an invitation for viewers to insert themselves into the embrace and co-elevation these figures are offering to marginalized communities. The hate in America continues through racial terrorism, I wanted this image to offer my love and support to those who need it.

Client: Facebook AIR Program, 2019
Mural on wall with paint + wax pastel, 31 x 8.5 feet

For this mural I envisioned a scene full of quiet moments, where the viewers could share in that calm while amid a bustling work environment. My aim is to capture the tenderness, familiarity, and intimacy experienced in this world, through selective simplicity and narrative details. Some of the softer details or objects may be overlooked at first, though as the viewer spends more time with the piece details previously hidden reveal themselves. These objects are intended to create connection between the viewer and environment through repeated interaction over the course of their daily life. Just as the objects in our homes become a meaningful backdrop to our lives, this mural is meant to reflect a similarly meaningful, supportive and inspiring physical space.
